Leicester City Retro Shirt 1996 Home - Mens



This shirt design is associated with Leicester City’s first two seasons back in the Premier League. Under Martin O’Neill the Club finished both seasons in the top half of the table. These seasons also saw City win the League Cup and compete in the UEFA Cup. This particular shirt was worn by midfielder Scott Taylorat Wembley in the 1997 Coca Cola League Cup Final against Middlesbrough.

It was the first Leicester City shirt design worn by Ian Marshall, Matt Elliott and Steve Guppy, who all joined the club in 1996/97 and by Tony Cottee, Robbie Savage and Theo Zagorakis who all arrived at Filbert Street the following season.
